A Bright December Wedding for Andy and Gemma at Stanton House
There’s something truly magical about a winter wedding, and Andy and Gemma’s December day at Stanton House Hotel in Swindon was no exception. Despite the chill and short daylight hours, the day was bright and brimming with joy – a fitting celebration for two long-time friends. Surrounded by family and friends, Andy and Gemma’s happiness was palpable, and it was a pleasure to capture the emotions that made the day so special.
Stanton House Hotel, nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds, proved the perfect setting. Built from Cotswold stone, Stanton House has stood the test of time, evolving from a private home into a warm, welcoming hotel with a lovely connection to the surrounding community. Stanton Fitzwarren, the charming village nearby, dates back over 2000 years, and Stanton Lake and Park, just a stone’s throw away, is an ideal spot to soak up the peaceful countryside views. Unfortunately, with winter’s short days, our outdoor photos were limited, but this didn’t dampen the mood one bit – the interior of Stanton House provided a cosy and timeless backdrop.
The day was packed with fun moments, laughter, and plenty of treats. A hog roast kept everyone warm, and a well-stocked sweets stall kept the kids energized (and the adults indulging in nostalgia). As for the photographer? Let’s just say a doughnut or two might have fuelled my work too!
Stanton House Hotel’s attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere shone through, and it’s easy to see why it’s so loved throughout Swindon and beyond. I’m thrilled I had the chance to be part of such a joyful day for Andy and Gemma, who’ve been friends for so many years. It’s coming up to their 10th anniversary, and it felt like the perfect moment to finally share a blog about their big day.
Here’s to many more years of happiness for Andy and Gemma!
