An Intimate Celebration for Mr. and Mrs. Speck at Stanton House

There’s a unique charm to smaller, intimate weddings, and Mr. and Mrs. Speck’s day at Stanton House Hotel embodied it perfectly. Surrounded by close friends and family, the couple celebrated with laughter, love, and heartfelt moments. The day was bright and clear, although the afternoon brought a touch of wind, adding a little extra energy to an already memorable celebration.

Stanton House Hotel, nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds, made a stunning backdrop. This historic hotel, transformed from a private manor into a welcoming retreat, combines traditional Cotswold stone architecture with picturesque views of Stanton Lake and Park. The surrounding village of Stanton Fitzwarren and nearby St. Leonard’s Church add to the charm and timeless quality of the area. The tranquil gardens, access to the lake, and Stanton Park’s nature reserve made for a setting that was both peaceful and breathtaking.

Throughout the day, Mr. Speck’s nerves were endearing – those small, thoughtful glances and quiet moments showed the importance of the day to him. But, as he settled into the celebration, the joy of being surrounded by loved ones took over. His bride by his side and the warm presence of family and friends created an atmosphere that was both lively and heartwarming. Capturing these genuine, candid moments, especially between family members, gave the photos a special quality that will be treasured for generations.

One of the day’s most memorable moments involved a little challenge that brought plenty of laughter – getting the groomsman up into a large tree on the Stanton House grounds. This particular tree has a unique branch just right for sitting, but reaching it was no easy feat. With encouragement from the crowd and a bit of teamwork, we managed to get some playful shots that added to the day’s lighthearted memories.

Being part of Mr. and Mrs. Speck’s wedding was a pleasure and a reminder of the joy that smaller celebrations can bring. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness for them, and to Stanton House for providing such a beautiful backdrop to a perfect day.
