Engagement Photoshoot: Tom and Gemma’s Beautiful Day at Ashford Hill

I recently had the pleasure of capturing Tom and Gemma’s engagement photoshoot in the stunning private gardens at Ashford Hill, Hampshire. Just a short distance from Basingstoke, this serene location provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of wind!

Despite the breezy weather making things a little challenging—especially for Gemma’s hair (thank you, wind!)—it added a dynamic energy to the shoot. Sometimes nature plays its part in ways you don’t expect, and the wind helped us capture some truly breathtaking moments. Who needs a wind machine when nature gives you one for free?

Tom and Gemma brought a couple of outfit changes with them, which allowed us to mix up the styles and settings. Each outfit reflected their personalities and their journey together. The whole day was light-hearted and joyful, reflecting their deep bond as a couple who are not only planning their future together but also on the brink of two major milestones: getting a house and planning their wedding for the next few years.

What stood out to me most was how natural and comfortable they were in front of the camera. It's always important to me as a photographer that couples feel at ease during the shoot, and I was thrilled to hear their feedback afterward:
